Get Connected Showcase

Research shows that people with sight loss are twice as likely to be digitally excluded when compared to the general population. Join us during Get Online Week as we highlight the challenges blind and visually impaired people face getting online, and we’ll showcase what MyVision are doing to tackle this.

We’ll introduce you to the many barriers people face and explain how our Get Connected project is aiming to ensure no-one with a visual impairment in Oxfordshire is left behind.

You’ll hear from people we’ve supported, and learn about the training and workshops we offer. There’ll also be demonstrations of assistive technology and a chance to try this out yourself.

This event is aimed at businesses who have a shared interest in closing the digital divide and are keen to find out how we can work together to ensure every blind and visually impaired person in the county has the tools and skills to get online and get connected.
