We are partnering with 3dom for a presentation on ‘Emotional Impact of Disability’ at Oxford’s Marmalade festival

Nathan Tree, our Community Engagement Lead, and our close partner Phoebe Gibbons from 3dom will be speaking at the local Marmalade Festival about the emotional impact of disability. This talk will be held at The Museum of Oxford at 14:30,  Friday 12 April 2024.

Marmalade Festival runs from 9 – 12 April and aims to bring together community organisations, local authorities, educational institutions and citizens in order to make the city better for all.

The Emotional Impact of Disability talk aims to shine a spotlight on the mental health impact of living with a disability and how public interaction can have both short and long term effects.

The presentation will show participants how to be supportive and mindful when interacting with people who have disabilities. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and share experiences that the presenters will guide and advise on.

Both Phoebe and Nathan have lived experience with disability. Nathan, in addition to being our Community Engagement Lead is a trustee at Enrych Oxfordshire, mentor at Look UK, founder of Blind Ice Hockey UK, and Active Ambassador at Active Oxfordshire.

Phoebe is the founder at 3dom ad inclusion, chair of trustees at Enrych Oxfordshire, and is equity, diversity and inclusion coordinator at Active Oxfordshire. She is also a keen wheelchair rugby player.
